The deductible is the amount you pay for care costs before the dental insurance company covers the rest. Many people choose low deductibles, thinking they don't want to pay out of pocket. However, setting up a dental insurance plan with a low deductible may dramatically increase your coverage costs. Raising your deductible to what you feel comfortable with may help greatly lower your dental insurance costs.
