What is Adware or Spyware?
Adware infection rates continue to climb. McAfee detected over 14 million computers infected with Adware in the first three months of 2004. Adware refers to a type of program that is designed to serve advertisements to you while connected to the Internet. These ads are often considered a nuisance, and the adware program itself is usually installed by users accidentally, packaged in with other software that has actual benefit.
